31 Jul The Pescado team cycle, run and row 776km for Claire House
On Wednesday 25th July Pescado’s dedicated team donned their gym gear and took business outside for the day where as a collective they cycled, ran and rowed a whopping 667km, the equivalent distance between Paris and Ewloe! Even after the initial distance was complete, the enthusiastic team all wanted to have a turn resulting in an additional 90kms. This impressive distance was all completed in soaring temperatures of 28 degrees and in full view of their colleagues and fellow business park users.
Thanks to lots of tantalising treats provided by a group of talented bakers, Bob the ice cream man and his cooling delights, and an exciting mix of high-end prizes the team were able to raise over £4,000 for Claire House. This is the second time the team have pulled out all the stops to raise funds for Claire House, in July 2016 a team of eight from Pescado donned Lycra and cycled between Paris and London (LITERALLY!).
All fundraising events have been a huge success and have seen the Pescado team joined and supported in their mission by both suppliers and customers.
Group managing director Fraser, commented on the event and said: “It was an amazing day, it was great to see the team really go for the challenge, and finishing 5 hours ahead of schedule..wow! The support we have received from our customers, suppliers and fellow business park users has been incredible. We already have team members asking what we are doing next year!”
“Claire House do truly amazing work for children and their families, we’re really pleased to be raising money for them. People have been so generous, it has been really humbling and I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored us or supported in some other way.”
Pescado will continue to support Claire House and their amazing charity throughout the year, and if you would like to you can still sponsor the Pescado team to help them smash their target: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pescado.
Keep an eye out for future Pescado fundraisers, maybe you could be involved next time!
